This laboratory Handbook is timely for a new revision since there is so much progress has been in Pathology Services. It provides a new outlook and lists out more comprehensive tests for patient care. This handbook focuses on details of tests available, its expected turnaround time, reference ranges that aid in post analytical interpretation of results and also the test schedules.This Handbook also highlighted the importance of pre-analytical variables that may influence laboratory results, hence showing the importance of patient preparation before blood taking or procedure. If the patient is not well prepared with adequate blood taking, this will jeopardize laboratory results which may not fit the clinical scenario of the patient.
